Meet Our Team

Rooted in history and driven by purpose, our team carries forward a legacy that helped transform America. New Orleans Four LLC was founded to preserve, promote, and elevate the enduring impact of the courageous young girls who changed the course of education on November 14, 1960.

Led by Gail Etienne, President and CEO, and co-founded with the late Tessie Prevost-Williams, former Chief Operating Officer, this legacy company is more than an organization, it is a living continuation of truth, resilience, and leadership. As two of the original New Orleans Four, their vision ensures that the story is told with authenticity, dignity, and power.

Today, we honor their courage by educating future generations, protecting their history, and inspiring meaningful change. Through our work, the legacy of the New Orleans Four is not only remembered, it lives, grows, and leads.

Our Team

Tory Prevost brings a personal and powerful connection to this work. As the younger sister of Tessie Prevost, she honors her family’s legacy with humility and purpose. Raised with a deep understanding of the value of education and the strength, support, and protectiveness of the Black community, Tory continues to uplift the story and ensure it is remembered with dignity and accuracy.

Diedra “Deepa Soul” Meredith, a passionate multimedia activist rooted in her beloved New Orleans, uses storytelling as a tool for change. As the creator, producer, and director of The New Orleans Legacy Project (A Movement & A Film), she is dedicated to amplifying the voices of those who shaped history and connecting past struggles to present and future movements for justice.

Together, this team stands at the intersection of history, family, and activism—preserving a powerful legacy while inspiring meaningful dialogue and continued progress.
